How We Work

The right people, assembled for the right story.

We don't keep a standing crew. We don't have a house style. What we have is a deep network of writers, directors, cinematographers, editors, and crew — and the experience to know who belongs on which project.

The general-contractor model

Most production companies work with the same core team on every project. That's efficient. But efficiency isn't always what a story needs.

We work differently. Assembly House is built around the idea that every film deserves its own team — people chosen specifically because their sensibility, their craft, and their experience fit that particular story.

Think of us the way you'd think of a general contractor. We manage the build. We know the trades. We know who to call. And we stay accountable for the whole thing from start to finish.

The process

01

Development

We start with the script. We work with writers to sharpen the story before a single crew member is hired. If the foundation isn't right, nothing that follows will be.

02

Assembly

Once the script is locked, we build the team. Director, DP, production designer, sound — each person is chosen for this project, not pulled from a default roster.

03

Production

We shoot with intention. Small crews, deliberate setups, no wasted days. We protect the story on set the same way we protected it on the page.

04

Post & Delivery

Editing, color, sound design, mix — we see it through to the final frame. We deliver a finished film, not a rough cut that needs someone else to finish.

What we believe about making films

Small is intentional

Short films aren't lesser films. They're a different discipline — one that demands economy, precision, and a clear point of view. We take that seriously.

Collaboration over hierarchy

The best work happens when everyone on set feels ownership. We build crews where that's possible — where the gaffer and the director are solving the same problem.

Orlando is enough

We're based in Central Florida and we make films here. The landscape, the light, the people — there's more story in this place than most people realize.
